Four Women’s Soccer players named USCAA All-Americans, Celtics lead the nation with 16 All-Academic
PITTSBURGH --- Four Carlow University women’s soccer athletes earned USCAA All-American honors and 16 were named to the All-Academic Team, the association announced at the Soccer Awards Ceremony in Pittsburgh Nov. 14.

Junior Jenna McGuinness (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin HS/Seton Hill University) and sophomore Arley Wilson (Connellsville, Pa./Connellsville Area HS) earned First Team honors, while first year Kaitlyn Reap (Beaver, Pa./Beaver Area HS) and sophomore Hannah Wright (Smithton, Pa./Yough Senior HS) were named to the Second Team.
McGuinness led the team and tied for sixth in the USCAA with seven goals on the season. She tallied two assists and ranked fifth in association with 46 shots.
Wilson started in all 18 games for the Celtics at midfield, scoring two goals and an assist on the year.
Reap started in 17 games as a first year athlete, scoring one goal and tallying two assists, and Wright played in 14 games for the Celtics as a defender, scoring a goal in the process.
The Celtics saw the most team members named to the All-Academic Team with 16 earning the distinction. To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, student-athletes must be sophomores or above with a 3.5 cumulative grade point average or higher.
