McGuinness named to AMCC Women’s Soccer All-Conference team
NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Carlow University women’s soccer forward Jenna McGuinness landed a spot on the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Conference Third Team, the league announced Nov. 12.
NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Carlow University women's soccer forward Jenna McGuinness landed a spot on the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Conference Third Team, the league announced Nov. 12.
The junior from North Huntington, Pa. led the team and ranked eighth in the conference with seven goals on the season. She tallied two assists and tied for sixth in the league with 46 shots.
McGuinness also earned USCAA All-American First Team honors this season.
Penn State Behrend senior forward Trinity Prestash was named the AMCC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year. Prestash scored in every conference game this season, leading the AMCC with 17 goals and two assists for 36 points.
Behrend senior midfielder Nicole Croushore was tabbed the Defensive Player of the Year. Overall, the defense held opponents to eight goals over 18 contests for a 0.48 goals-against average and registered a team total 11 shutouts. Croushore also recorded two goals for four points.
Newcomer of the Year honors went to Pitt-Greensburg first-year midfielder Riley Gesinski. Gesinski led the AMCC in conference play in assists (7) and ranked second in points (17).
Penn State Behrend head coach Patrick O'Driscoll was named the AMCC Coach of the Year for the eighth time in his career. O'Driscoll led the Lions to the regular season title with an 8-0 conference record.
