Tennis opens season against Indiana Kokomo at Greensburg Racquet Club

GREENSBURG, Pa. --- Carlow University tennis opened the 2023 season with a 7-0 loss to visiting Indiana University Kokomo at Greensburg Racquet Club Friday afternoon.

The Cougars (4-6) swept the doubles point against the Celtics, 6-0, in each match.

Newcomer Julia Piatt won a game in the No. 2 singles spot, while Alexa Ward took two one game in each of her sets in the No. 3 singles position.

Josephine Kobak won two games in her final set at the No. 4 spot, and Jensen Stolitza won three games in the No. 5 spot for the Celtics.

Carlow hosts Saint Vincent College March 18 for a 9 a.m. match at Greensburg Racquet Club.
