Kobak earns Carlow’s first AMCC Player of the Week award

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Carlow University women's tennis player Josie Kobak earned the University's first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week award, the league announced Monday.

Kobak, a senior from Youngtown, Ohio, went 2-0 in both singles and doubles play while leading the Celtics to a 1-1 week in AMCC action.

Kobak swept her doubles and singles matches against La Roche Sept. 29.

She won her No. 3 doubles match and won in a tie-break at No. 5 singles in an over two-hour performance on Senior Day Sunday versus Mount Aloysius.

The Celtics travel to Pitt Greensburg for a 2:30 p.m. match Oct. 7.
