McCarthy named AMCC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Carlow University women’s tennis athlete Caitlin McCarthy earned AMCC Player of the Week honors, the league announced Monday.

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Carlow University women's tennis athlete Caitlin McCarthy earned AMCC Player of the Week honors, the league announced Monday.

McCarthy, a senior from Allison Park, Pa., won her No. 2 singles game after falling 6-1 in the No. 1 doubles spot against Saint Vincent College at Schenley Park Sept. 5.

McCarthy defeated Rachel Zgurich 6-1, 6-1 to earn Carlow's point in the 6-1 team loss.

The Celtics host Pitt Greensburg for an 11 a.m. match Sept. 21.
