Women’s Tennis falls to Pitt Greensburg in AMCC match
PITTSBURGH --- Inclement weather forced Carlow University women’s tennis to relocate a final set to Alpha Tennis & Fitness, where the Celtics fell, 5-2, to visiting Pitt Greensburg Saturday.

The day began at the Schenley Oval Sportsplex courts and the teams made it through almost the entire match before storm clouds set in.
The Bobcats (3-1) upended Carlow (0-4) despite having only four players in the match.
The No. 1 doubles team of Julia Piatt (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks HS) and Caitlin McCarthy (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton HS) fell 6-4 and No. 2 doubles Jensen Stolitza (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong HS) and Sofia Hernandez (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway HS) lost their game, 6-2.
Carlow was awarded two singles matches by forfeit, but the Bobcats swept the four remaining matches for the win.
The Celtics return to action with a 6 p.m. make-up match against Waynesburg University Sept. 24.
