Women’s Tennis wins second match in a row
EBENSBURG, Pa. --- Carlow University women’s tennis picked up its second win in a row with a 6-1 victory over Mount Aloysius College in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference action at Ebensburg Tennis Center Saturday afternoon.

The Celtics (2-4, 1-2 AMCC) swept the doubles point after 6-1 wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles positions and a default in the No. 3 doubles spot due to a short-staffed Mounties roster.
Julia Piatt (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks HS) added another win on the day in the No. 1 singles spot, 6-1 and 6-1, while Caitlin McCarthy (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton HS) won, 6-4 and 6-4, in the No. 2 doubles position.
The Mounties (1-4, 1-2 AMCC) picked up their lone win in the No. 3 singles spot.
Sofia Hernandez (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway HS) swept the No. 4 singles, 6-1 and 6-3, and Reagan Redford (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon McMillan HS) won her first match of the season, 6-1 and 6-0, in No. 5 singles.
Carlow won its decisive point by default to end the day.
The Celtics host La Roche University for a 12 p.m. AMCC match at Alpha Tennis & Fitness tomorrow. Carlow will celebrate Senior Day prior to the start of the match.
