Miller, Lechner preparing for NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championship

BROOKINGS, S.D. --- Carlow University women's indoor track & field athletes Olivia Miller and Keri Lechner travel to South Dakota for the 43rd Annual NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field National Championship March 2-4.

All events will be held at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings, S.D.

Miller hit the NAIA "A" qualifying mark in triple jump with a leap of 11.41 meters at the Capital University Comets Opener Jan. 14.

She became a two-time NAIA All-American with her performance at the 2021 indoor national championship, where she placed sixth in both the pentathlon and in high jump.

Miller placed 29th of 34 competitors in triple jump with a distance of 10.94 meters in her first trip to nationals in 2020.

Lechner nailed the NAIA "B" qualifying mark with a 9.08 finish in the 60-meter hurdles at the River States Conference Championship Feb. 18.

She surpassed her previous school record of 9.10.

Lechner competes in the 60-meter hurdles preliminaries March 3, and she and Miller both compete in the finals for their respective events March 4.
