Women’s Indoor Track & Field places fifth at Baldwin Wallace

BEREA, Ohio --- Carlow University women's indoor track & field placed fifth of 10 teams at the Baldwin Wallace Mid-February Meet Friday afternoon.

The Celtics saw 11 top-10 finishes on the day which included several first place spots.

Molly Wagner came in first in the 200 with a time of 27.18 and was also part of the first place 4x400 relay team which included Ella Cloak, Taylor Charity and Christina Smith who raced to a 4:41.26 finish.

Jaquelyn Heflin scored a first place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:52.43, and the 4x200 relay team of Sydney Taylor, Trista Miller, Charity and Wagner earned second place with a time of 1:56.25.

Smith landed a third place spot in high jump with a leap of 1.48 meters, and Miller earned fourth in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.84.

Charity secured seventh and eighth place in the 55 (8.16) and 200 (30.68) respectively, while Leia Day marked her comeback from an injury with an eighth place mark of 1.38 meters in high jump.

Laci Schwirian ran 6:33.82 to secure ninth place in the mile, and Malina Hall ran 33.62 to land 10^th in the 200.

John Carroll took home the team trophy with a score of 134.5.

The Celtics travel to the Muskingum University Muskie Meet No. 4 Feb. 16.
