Wagner earns second United East Women’s Track Athlete of the Week honor
LATHAM, N.Y. --- For the second week in a row, Carlow University sprinter Molly Wagner earned United East Conference Track Athlete of the Week honors, the league announced Tuesday.
LATHAM, N.Y. --- For the second week in a row, Carlow University sprinter Molly Wagner earned United East Conference Track Athlete of the Week honors, the league announced Tuesday.
Wagner, a graduate student from Pleasant Hills, Pa., earned the award after racing to top 10 finishes in the 60, 200 and as a leg of the 4x200 relay.
Wagner placed third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.13 and fourth in the 200 at 27.15 at the University of Mount Union Jim Wuske Invite Saturday. She was also part of the 4x200 relay team that earned second place with a time of 1:57.82.
Wagner currently tops the United East in both the 60-meter dash and the 200.
The Celtics are affiliate members of the United East Conference since the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference does not sponsor track & field.
Carlow travels to the Oberlin College Dan Kinsey Invite Feb. 7.
