Women’s Indoor Track & Field record top marks, personal bests at Muskingum

NEW CONCORD, Ohio --- Carlow University women’s indoor track & field competed against eight other colleges and universities at the Muskingum University Muskie Meet No. 4 Friday.

NEW CONCORD, Ohio --- Carlow University women's indoor track & field competed against eight other colleges and universities at the Muskingum University Muskie Meet No. 4 Friday.

Several Celtics recorded top 10 finishes, led by Molly Wagner (Pleasant Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson HS) who placed first in the 400 with a time of 1:03.50. Wagner raced to a second-place finish in the 200 with a time of 27.47 and placed fifth in the 60-meter dash in 8.28. She was also part of the 4x400 relay team of Ella Cloak (New Cumberland, Pa./Trinity HS), Mackenna Rankin and Laci Schwirian (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward HS) that placed second with a time of 5:01.55.

Rankin (New Bethlehem, Pa./Redbank Valley HS) ran a personal best 12:46.31 to place fourth in the 3,000, and Trista Miller (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan HS) landed 10th in the 200 with a time of 28.86.

Tahmie Lord (Springfield, Va./West Springfield HS) hit a personal best 1.46 meters in high jump to place fifth and landed fifth place in long jump with a leap of 4.69 meters.

Leia Day (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell HS) placed sixth in long jump with a distance of 4.52 meters and leapt 1.36 meters to place 10th in high jump.

The Muskie Meet was the final tune-up for the Celtics before the United East Conference Championship, held at Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, Md. Feb. 28.
