MARION, Ind. --- Carlow University graduate student Olivia Miller capped a notable collegiate career with a strong showing at the 42nd Annual NAIA Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Championship Thursday.
The meet was hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University on its sprawling campus in Marion, Ind.
Miller earned her spot at nationals in triple jump early on in the season. She hit the NAIA "B" qualifying mark with a first place, school-record leap of 11.60 meters at the Robert Morris University Mid-Week PR Bonanza April 5.
Miller's first jump of the day landed slightly short of her usual mark, but her second attempt put her in fourth place in the first heat with a distance of 11.48 meters.
After the second and third heats concluded, Miller landed 17th out of 31 competitors in the nation.
Machaeda Linton of William Carey (Miss.) University took home first place in triple jump with a distance of 12.52 meters.
