Fourteen Track & Field Athletes named to USCAA All-Academic Team
PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University men’s and women’s outdoor track & field was the top team to receive academic recognition for the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), announced April 27.
PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University men's and women's outdoor track & field was the top team to receive academic recognition for the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), announced April 27.
The Celtics saw the most student-athletes named to the All-Academic list with 14 total.
The USCAA's National All-Academic Award recognizes all student-athletes (sophomores, juniors and seniors at four-year institutions and sophomores at two-year institutions) who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 (on a 4.00-point system) or greater.
The USCAA also recognized the following award winners:
Coach of the Year: Mike Melfi - SUNY ESF
Women's Student-Athlete of the Year: Georgia Burton - University of Maine Fort Kent
Men's Student-Athlete of the Year: Rio Coursen - Vermont State Randolph
