Women’s Track & Field opens outdoor season with four top-10 finishes

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. --- Carlow University women's track & field opened the outdoor season at the West Virginia University Marty Pushkin Invitational Saturday.

The Celtics faced off against 23 other teams from NCAA Divisions I, II and III, landing four top-10 places on the day.

The 4x100 relay team of Trista Miller, Ella Cloak (New Cumberland, Pa./Trinity HS), Sydney Taylor (Castle Shannon, Pa./Keystone Oaks HS) and Molly Wagner led the charge with a fourth place finish in 51.86.

Wagner (Pleasant Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson HS) earned two top-10 finishes in the 200 and 100. In the 200, she placed seventh with a time of 26.91, and in the 100 she placed ninth with a time of 12.98.

Miller (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan HS) placed 10^th in the 200 with a time of 28.23.

Mya Waage (Trinity, Fla./J. W. Mitchell HS) threw the fifth best distance (third best personally) in discus with a 15^th place throw of 29.55 meters.

Up next for the Celtics is the Carnegie Mellon Invitational March 29.
