Three top-10 finishes for Women’s Track & Field at Dave Labor Invitational

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. --- Carlow University women's track & field recorded three top-10 times and a couple personal best performances at the Slippery Rock University Dave Labor Invitational April 5.

The Celtics competed against 30 other colleges and universities across NCAA Divisions I, II and III and placed 18^th with a combined team score of eight.

In the 100 preliminaries, Molly Wagner (Pleasant Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson HS) was just 15 tenths of a second from tying her own school record she set on April 6, 2022. She placed seventh in the event with a time of 12.73. She ran 1:00.74 to place sixth in the 400 and was part of the 4x100 relay team of Trista Miller (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan HS), Sydney Taylor (Castle Shannon, Pa./Keystone Oaks HS) and Ella Cloak that placed sixth with a time of 50.63.

Cloak (New Cumberland, Pa./Trinity HS) ran a personal best time of 13.73 in the 100 preliminaries, and Mackenna Rankin (New Bethlehem, Pa./Redbank Valley HS) recorded a personal best 23:13.30 in the 5k.

Newcomer Ashley Ealy (West Alexander, Pa./McGuffey HS) cemented her name in the Carlow record books with a discus throw of 26.60 meters that placed her in the top-15 for the Celtics.

Host Slippery Rock took home the combined team title with a score of 286.

The Celtics travel to Westminster College for a 10 a.m. meet April 12.
