Rebecca Hess named AMCC Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Carlow University junior Rebecca Hess earned AMCC Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week honors, the league announced Tuesday.

Hess, an outside hitter from New Alexandria, Pa., led the Celtics to a 2-1 record with 32 kills, 44 digs and eight service aces following Carlow's final game of the USCAA Tip-Off Tournament, hosted by Penn State Beaver Aug. 30 and 31. She averaged 4.40 digs per set and added five blocks to lead her team on the defensive side of the net.

The Celtics return to Penn State Beaver for a 7 p.m. match Sept. 5.
