Women’s Cross Country earns top-15 finishes at Westmoreland Wolfpack Invitational
YOUNGWOOD, Pa. --- Carlow University women's cross country opened the 2023 season at the Westmoreland College Wolfpack Invitational Friday evening.
All three Carlow athletes placed in the top-15 out of 29 competitors in the 5k race.
Laci Schwirian led the Celtics with an eighth place finish in 23:44.7, and teammate Ella Cloak was right on her heels, coming in ninth with a time of 23:45.3.
Newcomer Katelyn Stivers placed 14th overall with a 25:18.0 finish.
Penn State Fayette's Chloe Kalp won the race with a time of 21:52.4, and Potomac State College took home the team trophy with an average time of 22:55.
The Celtics travel to the Allegheny College Classic in Meadville, Pa. Sept. 16.
