Schwirian races to USCAA Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week honors

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University cross country runner Laci Schwirian earned USCAA Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week honors, the association announced Tuesday.

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University cross country runner Laci Schwirian earned USCAA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors, the association announced Tuesday.

Schwirian, a sophomore from Elizabeth, Pa., has led the Celtics in all races so far on the season.

She earned a podium spot at the Mount Aloysius College Invitational this past Saturday, placing third of 28 with a time of 23:04.3 on the 5k course.

The Celtics return to action with a meet at Schenley Park for the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational Oct. 7.
