Women’s Cross Country places third at Westmoreland Wolfpack Invitational, Fana competes for Men's team

Junior Ella Cloak (New Cumberland, Pa./Trinity HS) raced to second place overall with a personal best 22:46.1 to lead the Celtics, followed by top-10 finishes from Laci Schwirian (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward HS) and Sydney Taylor (Castle Shannon, Pa./Keystone Oaks HS) who placed eighth and 10th, respectively.
Junior Leia Day (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell HS) also ran a personal best in the 5k race.
Potomac State College took home the team title with four top-10 finishes, and Olivia Brenneman of Juniata College won the overall race with a time of 22:17.1.
Quincy Fana (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler Area HS) finished the men's 5k in 22:28.0 against a field of 41 runners. The WVU Track Club secured the team title with five top-10 finishers, with John Mihalek winning the race in 16:44.1.
The Celtics travel to the Juniata College Invitational Sept. 13.
