Women’s Cross Country places fourth at Allegheny Classic, Fana races for Men’s team
MEADVILLE, Pa. --- Carlow University women’s cross country placed fourth of five teams at the Allegheny College Classic Saturday morning.

Junior Ella Cloak (New Cumberland, Pa./Trinity HS) led the Celtics with a 14th place finish in the three-mile race with a time of 21:36.
Laci Schwirian (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward HS) placed 21st with a time of 22:42, and Sydney Taylor (Castle Shannon, Pa./Keystone Oaks HS) finished in 23:24 to place 26th of 48 runners on the day.
Claire Stevens (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler Area HS) and Leia Day (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell HS) finished in 26:30 and 27:15, respectively.
Host Allegheny College captured the team title with 16 points and an average time of 19:11. Junior Chloe Bonson led the Gators with a first place finish of 18:28.
Junior Quincy Fana (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler Area HS) finished 45th of 55 runners with a time of 29:11 in the men's four-mile race.
Allegheny also swept the men's team title with a score of 49 and an average time of 22:41.
Junior Caleb Freeman led the Gators with a first place finish of 21:53.
The Celtics travel to the Mount Aloysius College Mountie Invitational Sept. 28.
