Cloak, Schwirian place second and third at Pitt Greensburg Fall Classic

GREENSBURG, Pa. --- Ella Cloak and Laci Schwirian placed second and third respectively at the Pitt Greensburg Fall Classic Saturday morning.

GREENSBURG, Pa. --- Ella Cloak and Laci Schwirian placed second and third respectively at the Pitt Greensburg Fall Classic Saturday morning.

Cloak (New Cumberland, Pa./Trinity HS) finished the 6k race in 27:57.2, followed by Schwirian (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward HS) with a time of 28:51.0.

Sydney Taylor (Castle Shannon, Pa./Keystone Oaks HS) and Mackenna Rankin (New Bethlehem, Pa./Redbank Valley HS) placed in the top 15 out of 44 runners with times of 30:54.8 and 31:33.4, respectively.

Potomac State College took home the team title with a score of 18 behind Addison Lease's first place finish of 26:55.9.

Quincy Fana (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler Area HS) finished the men's 8k in 37:30.7 to place 19th of 36 runners on the day. Juniata won the meet with a team score of 26, led by Adam Gallo with a first place finish of 29:35.4.

The Celtics run the Carnegie Mellon Invitational Oct. 12 at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh.
