Cross Country competes against 16 teams at Carnegie Mellon Invitational

The women's team placed 14th of 16 teams including NCAA Division I, II and III institutions.
Ella Cloak (New Cumberland, Pa./Trinity HS) led the Celtics with a personal best 5k time of 21:56.6 to place 79th of 125 runners on the day.
Laci Schwirian (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward HS) also ran a personal best time of 22:37.3, and Sydney Taylor (Castle Shannon, Pa./Keystone Oaks HS) improved her 5k time by over two minutes since August, racing to a 23:04.9 finish.
Claire Stevens (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler Area HS) crossed the line at 27:06.6, and Leia Day (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell HS) ran a personal best 28:31.8.
The University of Pittsburgh took home the team title with a score of 64, while Point Park University's Cassondra O'Conner raced to a first place finish in 18:32.0.
Quincy Fana (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler Area HS) competed for the men's team in the 8k race, crossing the line in 35:34.8.
Sixteen teams brought 132 runners to the course, with host Carnegie Mellon taking home the team trophy with a score of 34. Penn West California's Noah Bernarding placed first with a time of 25:07.2.
