PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University men's soccer lost a 4-0 AMCC matchup against La Roche University Tuesday.
The Celtics (2-10-0, 0-5 AMCC) held the Redhawks (2-9-1, 2-3 AMCC) to just one goal in the first half before La Roche turned the tide after halftime.
Aiden Mukanos-Kramer notched La Roche's first half goal at 19', and Carlow held the Redhawks at bay for 38 minutes before Jacob Packard found Austin Emery in the 57th minute to put La Roche ahead, 2-0.
Mukanos-Kramer scored his second goal of the game at 69', and Emery sank a penalty kick at 87' to secure the victory for the Redhawks.
Hunter Brady (Wrightsville, Pa./Eastern York HS) put two shots on goal, while Shajit Pokwal (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin HS) and Eric Fowler (Torrington, Conn./Wamogo Regional HS/Roger Williams University) added one each.
Zac Kolich (Enon Valley, Pa./Blackhawk HS/Pittsburgh Technical College) and Alex Remington (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park HS) combined for seven saves in the effort.
La Roche outshot the Celtics 15-5 (11-4 on goal) and held a narrow 3-2 corner kick advantage.
The Celtics host Penn State Hazleton for a 4 p.m. "Pink Out" game Oct. 20.
